Pugh’s Flowers was started in 1976 by Bill Pugh and his partner. Over the past 40 years, Pugh’s Flowers has grown into one of the premier flower shops in the country. The flower shop is currently owned and operated by Tim, Michael and Mark. Bill Pugh’s three sons. We operate three retail flower shops in Memphis, and another in Southaven, Mississippi. Along with our floral design business, the brothers also operate Pugh’s Earthworks, Rosie’s Pest Control and a new business that will be opening soon, called Pugh’s Lawn.

Best-Selling Blooming Plants and How to Care For Them
One of our top favorite products at our Memphis flower shop are our blooming plants. These flowering plants include things like orchids, bromeliads, peace lilies, and more. What most people love about blooming plants is that they offer both a green plant and the color that flowers offer. Plus, blooming plants tend to be low-maintenance and last a long time. You can transplant them into bigger containers or a plant bed in your garden to enjoy them for even longer. Here are some tips on taking care of blooming plants so you can enjoy them for years to come. Overall, flowering plants thrive when they have proper light, temperature, moisture, and nutrients. Light Most blooming plants do not like intensely bright sunshine but prefer indirect light. You may need to move them around the house throughout the seasons to get the best indirect light possible. Water Blooming plants like to alternate between wet and dry soil conditions. You'll need to regularly check soil moisture every few days. Stick your finger in the soil up to your first knuckle and see what it feels like. If it is dry, add enough water to wet the soil all the way to the bottom of the pot. Be sure to use a pot that lets any excess water drain out. Do not water the flowering plant again until the soil feels thoroughly dry. Temperature Most blooming plants do well in moderate temperatures, including night temperatures of 60° to 65° F and day temperatures of 70° to 80° F. Fertilizer Since the amount of soil and nutrients available in a small pot is limited, small quantities of plant food are desirable every few weeks to ensure the blooming plant is well-fed. Follow the directions on the fertilizer package to ensure the right mix of food and water to help the blooming plant thrive throughout the year.

If you are like most of us, you haven't been able to see your mom in quite some time. Some of our Mom's live in different states. Others live just down the road, but with the stay at home mandates and social distancing requirements, we just have not been able to spend any quality time with them. Whatever your circumstance, now would be a great time to send a beautiful floral arrangement to her. The Benefits Of Fresh Flowers Flowers are always a great Mother's Day gift idea. There is nothing better than receiving a beautiful, farm fresh flower arrangement. The fresh flower designs in our Mother's Day floral collection include some stunning designs. The shelter in place and non-essential business closure mandates have made nationwide delivery a bit more problematic for this Mother's Day. We are still going to be able to provide you with nationwide same day service this year, in most cases. Still, with everything going on right now with the pandemic, there may be a handful of situations where we cannot guarantee service. In the greater Memphis and Southaven area, we are able to provide local same day, no contact delivery. In many cases, we can also still offer express delivery service. Currently, all of our retail locations closed. All orders must be placed either through our website or by phone. We operate four floral design centers. When you order for local same day or express service, our delivery team will contact you when they are in the process of delivering your arrangement. We are following social distancing mandates by utilizing what we are referring to as no contact delivery.
