The fourth Saturday in October is designated as Make a Difference Day each year. This year, it is on October 28th. The special day is a way to celebrate volunteer work and service to our local communities. It’s no different here in Memphis where many community service projects are planned. If you are looking to join one, go to the Make a Difference Day website and put in your zip code to find a project. Or, you can always start your own. It doesn’t have to be huge to make a difference.
We also recommend doing your part to show appreciation to an individual or group who is making such a difference with special thanks in the form of a flower arrangement. Also, think of someone who has struggled recently and gift them with flowers to make a difference and brighten their day.
