Here is how to make every part of your home warm and festive during this special occasion where we all give thanks for the abundance in our lives.

Cornucopias and Centerpieces

The cornucopia, or horn of plenty, is an easily recognized symbol of Thanksgiving, including the harvest and reminder that we are rich in blessings. It makes a beautiful centerpiece filled with fresh flowers and fruit or alternatively with silk flowers and greenery as well as faux fruit.

There are many other types of centerpiece designs you can also display on your Thanksgiving table, coffee table, and/or buffet table. Be sure to match the centerpiece to your style and decor as well as ensure it’s aligned to the size and shape of the table. You can go with many design preferences, such as more traditional with candles, more formal with a pedestal bowl as a container, or more rustic with a pitcher or basket full of flowers.

Pumpkin Motifs

Pumpkins are another recognizable symbol of this fall holiday. You can use a real or ceramic pumpkin for a bouquet of flowers or fall accents. Alternatively, you can use miniature pumpkins and other gourds to enhance a fall flower arrangement. These floral displays make a nice touch for a foyer, guest room, or family room or work well as a special gift for your Thanksgiving host should you be traveling elsewhere for your celebratory meal.

Wreaths and Garlands

These natural displays don’t have to be just for Christmas. Why not take fall flowers, greenery, and accents and turn them into welcoming wreaths for the front door as well as garlands for the stair rails and fireplace mantel? The garlands also are a nice touch for a buffet table.
